This fascination drives my creative journey, as I explore the dynamic relationship between these elements in my work. About me
The Colorfield Performance '23
On May 26, 2023, I participated in The Colorfield Performance, an inspiring event founded by Dirk Hakze, which brings artists together to create art collaboratively in the outdoors. In the overall artwork consisting of 510 panels, you can enjoy the paintings of 455 artists from 19 different countries. The challenge lies in painting the panel of 1.22m x 1.22m within just one day, using only colors. The result of my efforts is this painting.
It was once again an incredibly invigorating experience to be amidst nature, feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin. All in all, it was a day filled with delightful encounters with fellow artists and visitors.
The "Grid" series originated from a foundational piece that serves as both a reference point and a wellspring of inspiration for all my subsequent Grid paintings.
My paintings are characterized by their abstract nature, infused with a geometric touch that creates a dynamic interplay between shape and color. This dynamic relationship between these elements is at the heart of my artistic vision.
In my artwork, I explore the endless possibilities that arise when shapes and colors interact and influence one another. The deliberate placement of geometric forms and the careful selection of vibrant hues create a visual language that invites viewers to immerse themselves in the composition.
